The third Canterbury Truffle Festival – July 15th to July 30th 2017
A food and wine celebration of truffles, those mysterious, seductive and transformative underground fungal treats, will be held in Christchurch and North Canterbury this winter. From July 15th to July 30th, over three weekends and two weeks, the region’s truffle growers, chefs, restaurants and top wineries will be working together to create a food and wine extravaganza to remember.
The festival is designed to give everyone a chance to taste truffles, and discover why they’re such a wonderful gourmet experience. There will be something for everyone, from the first time truffle taster to the aficionado, and a chance to learn how and why they’re doing so well in Canterbury.
The Canterbury Truffle Festival is a food and wine event which will celebrate the coming of age of the New Zealand truffle business and become one of New Zealand’s premier gourmet experiences — underlining Canterbury’s fast-rising status on the global food and wine map.
